The Album Transsiberian

Thylacine, the electronic guru from France, recorded his first album „Transsiberian“ during his 9,288 km journey on the Trans-Siberian Railway. Using the stopovers at the approximately 400 train stations for longer stays, Thylacine recorded sounds and musical impressions with a PCM recorder, as well as much traditional music of the local ethnic communities, that he further processed in the train compartment using his mini-recording studio. The result is a gorgeous electronic soundscape, sometimes driving, sometimes contemplative/melancholic – but always perfectly dancefloor compatible.
